The Westing Game

Miss Heather’s favorite mystery story is The Westing Game by Ellen Raskin.  Millionaire Sam Westing, who loved fireworks, puzzles and games has died, leaving a truly strange will behind.  16 people, each with a mysterious or uncertain connection to the millionaire are gathered together and told they could inherit Sam Westing’s fortune, but only if they play his game.  Westing claims he was murdered, the one to puzzle out the clues in his will and discover the murderer wins.

Turtle, the overlooked child in her family, is determined to do so but not everyone is what they seem and the murderer may be closer than she thinks.
