Reading is one of the most powerful ways to boost children’s brain power, and studies have shown that the earlier they start to be in contact with books and reading, the more likely they will be successful in school.
Parents visiting the Clifton Public Library and other libraries in Passaic County will be able to encourage their children’s development by participating in the national literacy initiative, “1000 Books Before Kindergarten.”
To register for the program in Clifton, parents may sign up filling out this form. To keep track of their child/children’s reading, parents may download and print reading logs below or the 1000 BBK app at the Android Play Store or the Apple Store.
Children completing the challenge can participate in a party offered by PALS Plus, the Passaic County library consortium.
For more information, please visit the Main Library or the Allwood Branch.
